Kindle Edition. Williams considers the view on extreme inequality starting with Plato; The New Testament (esp. Jesus, but also brother Peter, and Paul); Thomas Hobbes; Jean-Jacques Rousseau; Adam Smith (yes, dear old Adam had lots of concerns about Extreme Inequality, denied in modern mainstream economics); John Stuart Mill; and, naturally, Karl Marx
